Description:

As of Consumer Insights Platform version 4.4, the Date Filter has been condensed into one menu. More commonly-used date ranges, such as Last 13 Weeks, have also been included, and it is still possible to choose either the Fiscal Calendar or the Gregorian Calendar.

The following date selections are available in the Select By menu:

  • Year/Month/Quarter/Week To Date: The current time period, until the last available date
  • X To Date: The period between any custom date, input by the user, and the last available date
  • Last Year/Month/Quarter/Week: The most recently closed time period selected (year, month, quarter, or week)
  • Last 4/13/26/52 Weeks: The last 4, 13, 26, or 52 completed weeks
  • Rolling Days: The most recent x number of days
  • Rolling Weeks: The most recent x number of completed weeks
  • Rolling Months: The most recent x number of completed months
  • Rolling Quarters: The most recent x number of completed quarters
  • Static Days: Previously called "custom analysis dates", Static Days include a custom start and end date chosen by the user
  • Static Months/Quarters/Weeks: A range of of exact months, quarters, or weeks to analyze. If the Fiscal Calendar is selected, the dates will be based on the retailer's own fiscal calendar. If Gregorian Calendar is selected, the dates will be based on Gregorian calendar periods
  • Custom Date Range: A custom date range can be selected in a custom hierarchy (table) if a custom date range has previously been created by the user, or the user has access to a custom date range. For more information, please see: Create and use custom date ranges

Notes:

  • Any Static dates chosen will be run on the exact dates selected. If a report is saved and/or scheduled, the report will always be run on the same dates
  • Rolling dates, and any 'Last' or 'To Date' dates, will be run on the most recent dates whenever a saved/scheduled report is run
  • It is possible to manually edit a date range (and/or Comparison Period) by selecting the > next to the date range - Please note that if a date range is edited, it becomes a Static period

To enter a custom analysis and/or comparison period, select Static Days

A Comparison Period can be added to any date range by selecting the Comp checkbox

By default, the standard Comparison Period is -354 days from the date range selected, and adds a column of comparison data to be viewed side-by-side with the Current Period
